Interesting note, Ingrid's armor was made from aluminum and weighed 25 pounds.

"Mr. Ray Johnson first met Ingrid Bergman during the Broadway production of JOAN OF LORRAINE.
When Ingrid decided to do the film JOAN OF ARC she asked him to be a part of the film's production. Mr. Johnson became Ms. Bergman's life long friend and close confidant.
One of the actors in the film, he was also assigned the task of keeping Ingrid's armor polished and in top working order. Mr. Johnson was Ingrid's 'SQUIRE' during the filming of JOAN OF ARC because like St. Joan's Squire, Jean d'Aulon - he helped Ms. Bergman to put her armor on.
